Super Swiss Ball Workout!

Latest upload for BlogilatesTV. I just filmed this last night. The moves featured in this video are:

1. ball pike

2. plank extension on ball

3. push ups on ball

4. hip twist

5. ball toss (watch me in this one, it’s unedited and pretty funny)

6. ball pass

If you don’t have a ball, you can go out and get one for super cheap from Target, Wal-Mart, or even a discount store like Ross, TJ Maxx and Marshalls. They run anywhere from $10-$15. This is an at home gym staple in my opinion - very versatile and great for stretching too (just lay your back on top and round out to the curvature of the ball like a wheel).

To find out what size exercise ball you need, follow the guidelines below:

Under 5’2” (1.57m) —> 45cm ball

5’3”- 5’8” (1.60m-1.72m) —> 55cm ball

5’9” - 6’2” (1.75m-1.88m) —> 65cm ball

Above 6’3” (1.90m) —> 75cm ball

K hope you enjoy the workout!

Move of the day: Swiss Ball Pike with Push-up
Start in a pushup position with your toes on a stability ball and your hands on the floor (A). Keeping your legs straight, raise your butt toward the ceiling, drawing the ball toward your arms (B). Pause and roll back to start. Pause, then do a pushup. That’s 1 rep. Try 10!
I’m still working on this move, just so you guys all know! I want to try to get my back completely straight and perpendicular to the floor once my butt is piked. It’s like doing a handstand with the upper body. I’m scared and afraid to fall (even though it is just like 10 inches off the floor). Will let you know about my progression mentally and physically. Now, go for it!!!
