After I posted a update on my facebook fan page about being so full that I had to skip breakfast, I got quite a debate going on there. Got people saying:
“I thought breakfast was the most important meal of the day”
“Breakfast helps you lose weight”
“You should never skip breakfast because it slows down your metabolism”
And we got people on the other side saying:
“Drinking water in the morning can rev up your metabolism too”
“Working out before eating can help you burn more fat:
“Listen to you body, if it needs food, it will ask for it”
Thanks to everyone that gave their opinion as I have been seriously researching all week and this morning to bring you the latest studies and expert advice on the matter.
So, does eating breakfast help you lose weight?
THE ANSWER:
Today I was craving ice cream sooooooooooo bad but I promised myself that I would not buy any new food until I move. (My fave is Trader Joe’s Premium French Vanilla Ice Cream by the way!) I have 3 more days here in Boston and I’m cleaning out my fridge as best as I can before the big move to the West Coast!
I was able to find some frozen berries and jello mix. Yes, jello mix. I’m getting creative yall.
Get out your blenders and get ready for the yummiest berry sorbet ever!
INGREDIENTS:
-2 cups frozen berries
-1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
-1 packet of sugar free strawberry jello mix
- 1/2 cup of water
DIRECTIONS:
Mix water with jello mix and whey protein. Place all berries in blender, pour liquid mixture on top. Blend. Done! Spoon. Scoop. EAT!

Got this from Target. I want to try the tropical fruit blend next! 1 cup: 80 cals, 0g fat, 20g carbs, 2g protein.

Sugar free jello mix! Generic is fine too. Saves money :) 1 packet: 20 cals, 0g fat, 0g carbs, 4g protein

This is my whey protein right now. Love vanilla. 140 cals per scoop. 2g fat, 3g carbs, 26g protein.

Blend it!

Eating time! Look at that amazingness! I whipped this up in less than 2 minutes.
NUTRITION INFO: Makes 3 servings. Each earving, 107 cals, 1g fat, 14g carbs, 11g protein.
Here’s am example of what I do when I am not at the gym (like on vacay). This an intense cardio/toning workout, so be prepared for a sweat fest! Turn up your fave tunes and blast the fat.
Repeat this circuit 4x. 50 seconds of each move, 10 sec rest. Then 1 min recovery at the end of each set.
GO.
1. High knees
2. Pushups
3. Tuck jumps
4. Tricep dips
5. Burpees (ahh!!!)
6. Pushup to side plank (alternating sides)
7. Surfing (180 degree jump back n forth w/ arms outstretched like a surfer)
8. Elbow pushups or Down-Down-Up-Up’s
9. Mud run
REST 1 MIN. REPEAT.
Have fun!
Cassey

Many of you have been asking me about my diet plan and how I got to my bikini body in a short 8 weeks. I’m going to share with you a snapshot of my meal plan that you can tweak to your needs.

I originally was going to post this last Wednesday but opted not to because after reading, I felt like such a whiny loser! But as I was going through some of my comments on facebook, I saw that a few of my fans were feeling alone and discouraged in their weight loss journey. Well guys, believe me when I say YOU ARE NOT alone. Even a fitness “guru” can fall. And choose to not get back up.
Now, for those of you that are regular readers of Blogilates, this is not a normal post. It is not inspirational or motivational. But it’s real. And it’s feelings. And I want to share with you what was going through my head last week when I CHOSE NOT TO WORKOUT because I hated how I felt and how I looked.
You’re probably thinking, what? Cassey had a negative thought and let it get to her head? Yes. I let it get to my head. My willpower was completely gone.
